Stockholm International School Branding

The Stockholm International School is an independent primary through secondary school in Sweden with a globally recognised academic programme.  Founded in 1951, SIS is an international day school in the heart of Stockholm that challenges and inspires students from over 60 countries.

I was commissioned to brand the school which included updating the logo, creating a brand toolkit, and developing a subbrand for the mascot, Oggi, as well as the house system. It also included a complete overhaul of the website as well as extensive photography.

Oggi, the SIS Mascot

The mascot for SIS is Oggi the Owl: a magnificent bird that symbolises wisdom and learning. The SIS mascot embodies and amplifies our school spirit and builds community. Oggi is a friendly, curious, welcoming, and strong creature.

The SIS house system is comprised of four units: Earth, Fire, Air and Water.

The system is a wonderful storytelling opportunity that grounds Stockholm International School in the geographic environment of Sweden. The four houses represent varied scenes — acting as a wonderful metaphor for the diversity that is present in the SIS community. The four differing landscape forms one amazing country — just like the differing houses form one amazing school.
