Hi. I'm Beth.

I am a freelance creative director who roams the world working knee-deep in fresh and engaging design directions. My area of speciality is the education and non-profit sectors with clients in Europe, Asia, and North America. I enjoy collaborating with inquisitive and curious minds who like to challenge assumptions and create impactful projects.

 

 
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

I spent a decade as the creative director for Imperial College London, a world-leading research university in the UK specializing in STEM which is geeky cool science stuff. Prior to my appointment at Imperial, I worked at design positions at more über-fun science places such as the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington, DC, the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and Purdue University in Indiana (24 astronaut alumni!). 
 

RANDOM AND USELESS TIDBITS 

I like to make stuff, ask loads of questions, and connect the dots. I have an unhealthy habit of excessive coffee consumption and have been known to plan entire vacations around the best places to find a cup of Joe. I've never said no to a possible holiday location and can find something interesting and unexpected to discover in just about any location on Earth. 

 

AWARDS AND HOOPLA

I have been the recipient of over 90 industry awards including 43 University and College Designer Association Awards, 26 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards, and 4 HEIST Awards. My work has appeared in HOW Magazine and Communication Arts. I also won a frisbee throwing contest in elementary school which is the highlight of my sporting achievements.
